TSI was bought by Beta Lasermike several years ago (2003 I believe). Their offering is that gage.

I might be wrong but a long time ago, Dennis Swing and others started (may have been consulting engineers, designers) LaserMike using technology obtained from NASA. I first saw mention of a laser mike in NASA Tech briefs magazine about 1977. Contacted them and evaluated early LaserMike device.

Dennis then started Lear Engineering. I think I got story right.

Hi Erik and thanks for the information.

I looked around a bit and this is what I found out:

TSI Incorporated (TSI) seems like a pretty large instrument company, founded in Minnesota, with at least 800 employees around the World. In 2000 TSI was acquired by JJF Group, Inc and taken private.

In 1997 TSI acquired Target Systems Incorporated (Not TSI) and perhaps this is where the laser length and speed measurement instruments originated. Perhaps Beta Lasermike bought the exclusive rights to manufacture and market this instrument for TSI or perhaps TSI sold them this portion of their company.

TSI's history says nothing about the company being sold to Beta Lasermike.

I did mean Target Systems. My mistake for using the initials.

Hello,

I was beginning that the wire industry had shut down for the summer.
