• June 21, 2010 - Eigth Annual WAI Midwest Chapter Golf Tournament
The Midwest Chapter returns to the St. Andrews Golf & Country Club in West Chicago, Illinois, looking for a repeat of last year's highly successful event. Participants can play for team, individual, and raffle prizes including: 3 closest to the pin holes; the popular putting contest; 1 accurate and 2 long drive holes; and the grand prize hole-in-one to win $10,000. • June 15, 2009 - Seventh Annual WAI Midwest Chapter Golf Tournament
The Midwest Chapter returned to the St. Andrews Golf & Country Club in West Chicago, Illinois, for a successful event.
• 2008 Midwest Chapter Scholarship Winners
The WAI Midwest Chapter established its scholarship program this year in order to assist the children of chapter members defray the costs of their freshman year in college. Chapter President John Kukalis of Henkel Corp announced the inaugural recipients of the $1,000 awards as Hannah Downey and Lauren Quick.
Ms. Downey is the daughter of Fort Wayne Wire Die sales manager John Downey. She is graduating from Huntington North High School in Huntington, Indiana and will pursue a double major of Biology and Spanish at either Butler University, Emory University or Indiana University.
Ms Quick is the daughter of James Quick, quality/technical manager at Charter Steel. The soon-to-be graduate of Cedarburg High School in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, will pursue a pre-medicine course of study at either the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities or the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
• June 23, 2008- Sixth Annual WAI Midwest Chapter Golf Tournament was held on a near perfect day with a record 74 golfers playing the St Andrew's Golf & Country Club in West Chicago, Illinois.
The winning team, with a score of 62, was comprised of A-1 Specialty Wire’s Tom Harmon and Steve Kendziorski, John Dabbelt of Fort Wayne Wire Die and Marty Muse of AXIS Computer Systems Inc.
One of the highlights of the event was a special award made to Bob Sears of North America OMCG, the tournament’s chair since its inception. Chapter president John Kukalis and past president Kevin Sopczak presented Sears with a certificate honoring his years of service to the chapter tournament. Sears also served as chapter president in 2004.
