    Dear sir,
If I am setting a pressure during starting a Job and getting a desired pressure how come the pressure changes in the middle of the bobbin the cylinders may wear with time but can the pressure vary in between the bobbin because of this wear in the cylinders? Can you also please guide me which tension gauge should be used to check tension and how to find variance after checking tension?

    Dear Sir,
Thank you for such a quick reply. Really very much thankful to you for helping me out. Yes I will be taking trial on that only in 1-2 days. I will fix the pressure according to standard and use die according to the requirement, but doing so we cannot keep both pressure and die diameter constant, to maintain weight we cannot use all dies of same diameter we may need to change few and use dies of smaller size keeping pressure constant as we cannot keep both constant, so if we use few dies of smaller diameter will it have any negative effect on the overall product.

    Dear Peter Sir,
Yes I have got it. Thank you for your clarification. It would be very much helpful if you please help me with the other query I have posted regarding pressure variation in Dancer of MMH101.Is it normal to get 20 kg more in net weight in the bobbin than the sample weight observed? And whether it is correct practice to not maintain pressure according to Niehoff standard?

    Dear Sir,
We use MMH 101 and draw bare annealed copper. Is it correct practise to vary dancer pressure to control weight of the product beyond the recommended pressure given by Niehoff, because I have observed when I am checking sample after increasing pressure beyond prescribed limit it is coming correct and after the bobbin is filled up also the sample weight is coming correct but the net weight of the bobbin is coming more by around 20 kg, so should we keep the pressure always within the prescribed limit?

    Dear sir,
Thank you for your reply we use MMH101 and we do drawing of bare annealed copper. Definitely sir the speed reduces with higher sizes as annealer is the constraint that why I have asked about the rated speed and the rated speed is different for different sizes..

  • Mr Monojit Deb created a new topic ' Rated speed of Niehoff MWD' in the forum.
Dear Sir, I am fresher to a cable company. In my company in first few months of my stint I have observed that the Niehoff MWD machines are running at around 75% of the rated speed, whenever I asked someone they always give a vague reply. Can any one suggest at what optimum speed an Niehoff MWD machine can run at of rated speed?
