Can any one help to find a testing lab to test the following magnetic properties of of stainless steel bar diameter ranging from 6-22.0mm

1)Saturation induction BS = 1,66
2)Relative magnetic permeability 1/4 r > 700
3)Residual induction Br = 0,5 - 0,8
4)Coercive field strength Hc < 500 (A/m)

Thanks

Peter,

I don't know if they can do it but Alstom Power has the Met Lab located in Chattanooga, TN. They can conduct extensive testing but I don't know if they can do this type of testing.
another Chattanooga business ATC might also be able to do it in their lab.

Hi Spectre and thank you for the information.

The company in question is on the other side of the World but they can private message you or me if they want to carry this further.

I have your E-mail address of course and with your permission, I will send it to them if they contact me.

Best regards,

Hello Peter,

Thanks. We have two labs here in town now. One is the Met Lab of Alstom and was originally a lab of the old Combustion Engineering. For most of their existence they did metallurgical studies of boilers and boiler failures. They have expanded their services. ATC another company is developing a lab however their head man used to be in charge of the previously mentioned one. They are doing some unique material joining using microwaves, etc. Also have some unique methods of coating products including the inside of tubes. Years ago Chattanooga was the pressure vessel capital of the world. Hopefully it's coming back.
