Neelkanth Expands Cable Manufacturing into the UAE

The Neelkanth Cable Dubai plant inauguration marks a major step in the company’s journey of international expansion. Neelkanth Cable Manufacturing LLC officially opened a new 500,000-square-foot facility in Dubai Industrial City that will produce low-voltage, medium-voltage, conductor, and instrumentation cables.

Strengthening Presence Beyond Africa

Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Zambia, Neelkanth Cables has built a strong reputation across Southern, Central, and Eastern Africa. The company continues to expand across new regions by leveraging its leading role in the domestic cable market.

According to the company, Neelkanth now holds over 50% of Zambia’s market share in low- and medium-voltage cables. The new Dubai site allows the company to serve broader international markets while strengthening logistics and export capabilities.

Expanding Production Capacity for Key Sectors

The new facility employs around 200 staff and can produce up to 13,000 metric tons of copper cable and 7,000 metric tons of aluminum cable each year. The plant will supply several industries, including power transmission, oil and gas, construction, infrastructure, steel, cement, and mining.
