Aurora Material Solutions has expanded its thermoplastic compounding capacity

Aurora Material Solutions, LLC (Aurora Material Solutions) recently completed the previously announced expansion of its Streetsboro, Ohio, manufacturing facility. The project strengthens Aurora’s position as a North American leader in thermoplastic compounding for demanding applications.

Through the Aurora Material Solutions Streetsboro expansion, the company enhances its capabilities in thermoplastic compounding of rigid PVCs, rigid PVC alloys, and CPVC. The project adds more than 140 million pounds of compounding capacity, creates new jobs, and supports Aurora’s continued growth with customer partners.

The upgraded plant also produces AuroraGuard thermoplastic polyolefins, which offer high-heat performance, low-smoke zero-halogen behavior, and flame-retardant properties, along with AuroraFlex flexible PVC compounds.

In March, Aurora Plastics rebranded as Aurora Material Solutions, reflecting a broader focus on materials and solutions across markets. With the new name, the company also introduced its first formal brand statement in 27 years: “People. Partners. Possibilities.”

This identity underscores Aurora’s emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and long-term partnerships throughout its customer base and supply chain.
