BizLink Holding to buy Singapore wire harness company

BizLink Holding plans to acquire Singapore-based Speedy Industrial Supplies Pte., Ltd. in a deal worth about US$47 million. The BizLink Speedy Industrial acquisition will expand BizLink’s production footprint and sales reach across Southeast Asia.

BizLink’s board of directors has approved the acquisition, and both parties expected to close the transaction by the end of February. Through this deal, BizLink will strengthen its position in industrial and medical electronics while deepening relationships with global customers.

Speedy Industrial supplies wire harnesses and cables, PCBs, and other electronic components for industrial and medical applications. It operates assembly lines in Singapore and Malaysia that primarily serve clients in Europe and the U.S.

Expanding medical and industrial customer bases

According to BizLink, the acquisition will help the company grow its customer base in the medical sector and broaden its industrial product portfolio. In addition, the deal supports BizLink’s efforts to extend its global business reach and enhance regional support for key customers.

By integrating Speedy’s capabilities, BizLink will increase flexibility in manufacturing and improve its supply chain resilience across multiple regions.

BizLink, headquartered in Silicon Valley in the U.S., operates manufacturing bases in the U.S., Mexico, Slovakia, Serbia, Malaysia, and China. China currently accounts for a substantial share of its total production capacity.

In response to the U.S.-China trade dispute, BizLink has already shifted part of its production to Southeast Asia and Mexico. The BizLink Speedy Industrial acquisition further supports this diversification strategy and strengthens its presence in key ASEAN markets.

Company background and recent recognition

BizLink, founded in 1996, listed its shares on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) in 2011. The company has also earned notable recognition for its performance and corporate responsibility.

It appeared on Newsweek’s 2020 list of America’s Most Responsible Companies and on Deloitte’s “2019 Asia Pacific Technology Fast 500”, underscoring its growth momentum and commitment to responsible business practices.
