CommScope scores cable ‘touchdown’ at new football stadium of Las Vegas Raiders

CommScope Powers Allegiant Stadium Connectivity for Las Vegas Raiders

CommScope has deployed advanced infrastructure as part of the CommScope Allegiant Stadium connectivity project. The installation supports the 65,000-seat Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders, and delivers high-performance network capabilities across the entire venue.

CommScope Allegiant Stadium Connectivity Project Overview

As part of the CommScope Allegiant Stadium connectivity project, the company installed 227 miles of fiber optic cable and more than 1.5 million feet of copper cabling. This infrastructure powers over 2,400 screens1,700 Wi-Fi access points, and the stadium’s Distributed Antenna System (DAS).

In addition, the network uses a 100G fiber backbone and 10G Category 6A copper cabling. These systems support critical operations such as security, fire safety, HVAC, lighting controls, ticketing, concessions, and parking systems.

Enhancing the Fan Experience with High-Speed Connectivity

The high-bandwidth network enables an immersive fan experience. For example, fans can access 4K video replays and live multi-camera streams throughout the stadium.

Moreover, the system supports thousands of connected devices, including smartphones, tablets, AR devices, and VR headsets. As a result, the stadium remains ready for future technology upgrades.

Full-Stadium Coverage and Smart Applications

CommScope extended connectivity across all 10 levels of Allegiant Stadium, from the event floor to the ETFE roof. Fans can use the Raiders mobile app to find parking, locate concessions, order food, and share live content.

Meanwhile, copper cabling supports internal applications, while coaxial cables power the DAS system. This integrated approach allows CommScope to deliver a complete network infrastructure solution, combining fiber, copper, and wireless technologies.
