Continuus-Properzi gets order for an ETP copper rod line from Indiaโ€™s Adani Group

Continuus-Properziย (official site)ย announced a major contract withย Adani Groupย (official site). The Italian company will supply a newย Properzi ETP TOP copper rod lineย toย Kutch Copper Ltd., an Adani subsidiary. This line will support the companyโ€™s new copper production complex in Gujarat, India.

This partnership marks a major milestone for the global copper industry. It also highlights Continuus-Properziโ€™s long-standing reputation in continuous casting and rolling (CCR) technology.
The new copper rod line will produceย up to 250,000 tons of ETP copper rod per year. It combines high efficiency, easy operation, and excellent quality control. As a result, Properzi continues to set the standard for copper and aluminum rod manufacturing worldwide.

Company Presidentย Giulio Properziย stated that the new line will deliverย 38 tons of copper rod per hourย once completed in 2023. He explained that each CCR line is developed in close cooperation with customers to meet specific production goals.
He also reflected on the companyโ€™s heritage, noting, โ€œThis achievement represents sixty years of dedication since my father built the first copper rod line in 1962. It proves how far weโ€™ve come through persistence, innovation, and engineering excellence.โ€

According toย Business Today, Kutch Copperโ€™s greenfield refinery project will unfold in two stages. When fully operational, it will produceย one million metric tons of copper each year.
This development strengthens Indiaโ€™s role in advanced copper manufacturing and supports Adani Groupโ€™s wider goals for sustainable industrial growth.
