Eastern Wire Products building new plant

Eastern Wire Jacksonville Expansion Boosts Baling Wire Capacity

Eastern Wire Products, Inc.ย purchased new property inย Jacksonville, Florida, to expand its manufacturing operations. The company will investย $1.5 millionย to renovate the site forย steel wireย and related products. As a result, theย Eastern Wire Jacksonville Expansionย strengthens the family-owned business and supports future growth.

Upgraded Facility and Space Plans

Eastern Wire, founded inย 1972, has worked from a leased multi-tenant building in Jacksonville for many years. Now, the company is buying aย 78,000-square-footย structure that needs significant upgrades. Of that space, aboutย 21,000 square feetย remains leased to another business. However, Eastern Wire plans to use that area too once the lease expires or is terminated.

The company focuses onย baling wire, includingย bale tiesย andย straight-and-cut wire, for recyclers and industrial users. Currently, Eastern Wire employsย 42 full-time workers, and the expansion should eventually create aboutย 10 additional jobs.

Project Investment and Improvements

Overall, the project will cost an estimatedย $4.4 million. This budget includes aboutย $3 millionย for site acquisition and demolition,ย $500,000ย for infrastructure improvements,ย $650,000ย for building renovations, andย $240,000ย for machinery and equipment purchases. Together, these investments will modernize the facility and increase production efficiency.

โ€œThis is a tremendous opportunity to establish a home for our third-generation wire fabrication company,โ€ said Presidentย Mark Yates. He added that his father and grandfather both wanted a long-term base for the business, and this project finally delivers that vision.

Modern Equipment and Customer Benefits

With help fromย city of Jacksonville grants, Eastern Wire will create a modern manufacturing facility that includesย state-of-the-art bale tie equipment. Consequently, the company expects to operate more efficiently and serve customers more effectively.

Theย Eastern Wire Jacksonville Expansionย positions the company as an even strongerย baling wire manufacturer and supplierย to customers across North America.
