Italy’s Elettrotek Kabel SpA (EK) has announced the successful acquisition of Associated Wire Products (AWP), a recognized Canadian leader in automation cables. This transaction marks another major step in EK’s strategy to grow across global industrial automation markets.

Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Burlington, Ontario, AWP specializes in providing high-performance cables for industrial applications. The acquisition enhances Elettrotek Kabel’s reach, expanding its presence in North America and improving service and product accessibility for customers.

Roberto Gallingani, President and CEO of Elettrotek Kabel Group, stated that integrating AWP into the company’s Cables Automation division brings “exceptional value” to its Canadian operations.
