Elsewedy Electric wins 6-year contract for underground cables for Nexel Denmark

Elsewedy Cables Nexel Denmark 66kV Contract Overview

On April 3, 2022,ย Elsewedy Cablesย in Egypt signed theย Elsewedy Cables Nexel Denmark 66kV contract, a sixโ€‘year agreement to supplyย 66 kV XLPE underground cablesย toย Nexel Denmark. This longโ€‘term deal strengthens Elsewedyโ€™s position in Europeโ€™s mediumโ€‘ and highโ€‘voltage cable market and supports Nexelโ€™s grid upgrade plans.

Production will take place at Elsewedyโ€™s modern facilities in theย 10th of Ramadan Cityย industrial zone near Cairo. From there, the company will ship cables toย Nexel sites and storage locations across Denmarkย as project needs arise. In addition, the contract includes an option forย cable network design services, giving Nexel access to Elsewedyโ€™s engineering expertise.
