Encore Wire McKinney Campus Expansion Plans
Encore Wire Corporation plans a two-phase Encore Wire McKinney campus expansion at its headquarters in McKinney, Texas. The company aims to boost manufacturing capacity, modernize logistics, and support long-term growth in the wire and cable market.
Phase 1: New Service Center and Logistics Hub
In Phase 1, Encore Wire will build a 720,000-square-foot facility on the north end of its existing campus at 1329 Millwood Road, McKinney, Texas. The new facility will serve as a modern service center, improving logistics and increasing throughput.
This phase will help Encore Wire capture additional sales volume, support higher service levels, and maintain its reputation for industry-leading customer service and order fill rates. The company expects construction on Phase 1 to finish in the second quarter of 2021.
Phase 2: Expanded Manufacturing Capacity
Shortly after Phase 1, Phase 2 will focus on repurposing Encore Wire’s existing distribution center. The company will convert and expand this space to significantly increase manufacturing capacity and further extend its market reach.
Encore Wire anticipates completing Phase 2 in 2022, positioning the company to meet growing demand across residential, commercial, and industrial building wire markets.
Leadership Vision and Growth Strategy
Encore Wire Chairman, President and CEO Daniel L. Jones described this as an exciting period for employees, customers, and stakeholders. He noted that the company has been “under construction since inception” and continues to grow to meet customer needs.
The two-phase Encore Wire McKinney campus expansion will extend the company’s reach and support long-term capacity growth, aligning with its customer-focused strategy.
