Guill Tool expands lab capabilities

Guill Tool has launched Guill Labs, enhancing its extrusion capabilities with a cutting-edge rheology lab and process center. Equipped with advanced diagnostics and simulation tools, the facility enables precision tooling design and real-time analysis to better serve high-performance applications in the wire and cable manufacturing sector.

Guill Tool has expanded its in-house capabilities with Guill Labs extrusion testing and tooling optimization, strengthening support for wire, cable, and industrial extrusion projects. The upgraded laboratory enables more precise analysis and improves production efficiency.

Advanced Rheology Testing Improves Performance

The new rheology lab measures how plastics and rubber flow during extrusion. Engineers use this data to refine tooling geometry before production. As a result, manufacturers can improve product quality and reduce costly trial-and-error.

Comprehensive Testing and Simulation Capabilities

Guill Labs features advanced equipment, including a rotational rheometerscanning calorimeter, and thermal conductivity meter. These tools simulate real-world extrusion conditions with high accuracy.

In addition, the facility includes a dedicated test extrusion area with extruders, vacuum tanks, and laser gauges. Therefore, Guill Tool can perform full-process testing and validate performance before production.

Overall, Guill Labs extrusion testing delivers reliable data and optimized tooling solutions, helping manufacturers achieve efficient and high-quality extrusion processes.
