Hellenic Cables wins TenneT offshore grid connection
Hellenic Cables won a contract from TenneT to deliver about 36 km of HVAC offshore grid connection cables for wind farms in Germany’s N‑3.7 and N‑3.8 zones. This new Hellenic Cables TenneT offshore grid connection links both offshore wind areas to the DolWin kappa converter platform and further supports Germany’s offshore wind build‑out.
Scope of the Hellenic Cables TenneT offshore grid connection
Under the agreement, Hellenic Cables will design, manufacture, supply, terminate, and test three 155 kV HVAC grid connection cables and the required accessories. These grid connection cables will link the wind farms to the DolWin kappa converter station, and then HVDC export cables will carry the power to shore.

Route, lengths, and installation for the grid connection
Hellenic Cables plans to manufacture the offshore grid connection cables in 2025 at its submarine cable plant in Corinth, Greece. It expects to deliver them in Q3 2025, so the project schedule aligns with TenneT’s wider offshore program. The route will include one 16.5 km cable from zone N‑3.7 to DolWin kappa and two cables of about 10 km each from zone N‑3.8 to the same converter station, so the layout creates a compact but robust offshore link.
