Highland Holdings Precision Manufacturing Acquisition Builds on Growth Momentum
Highland Holdings LLC announced the Highland Holdings Precision Manufacturing acquisition, a strategic move to expand its presence in the wire-harness and electrical component industry. The Dayton, Ohio–based Precision Manufacturing Co. Inc. (PMCI) will join Highland’s growing portfolio of high-performing U.S. manufacturing companies later this year.
Founded in 1967, PMCI employs more than 100 people and will continue operations under the Precision Manufacturing name. This deal builds on Highland’s acquisition of MNSTAR Group in 2020, which has since doubled its sales. Similar growth is expected for PMCI as the two operations collaborate on new production strategies and increased capacity.
Expanding U.S. Wire-Harness Capabilities
“We’re excited about this new opportunity,” said George Klus, CEO and President of Highland Holdings. “With PMCI, we gain additional resources and facilities that allow us to serve customers faster and meet growing market demands.”
The acquisition significantly expands Highland Holdings’ manufacturing capabilities in custom wire harnesses and electrical component assemblies. It also sets the stage for greater innovation, helping the company address rapid growth across the automotive, construction, and transportation equipment industries.
MNSTAR and PMCI Drive National Growth
Highland’s MNSTAR operation in Bovey, Minnesota, continues to outperform expectations. The company—about half the size of PMCI—plans to expand its facility footprint to handle rising demand. Together, MNSTAR and PMCI create a unified production network capable of delivering high-quality wire-harness and electrical systems to clients across North America.
Their shared customer base includes leading manufacturers in the marine, agriculture, emergency-response, and industrial machinery sectors. Both companies focus on quality control, advanced engineering, and customer-driven innovation.
A Strategic Vision for Industrial Leadership
The Highland Holdings Precision Manufacturing acquisition underscores the company’s long-term strategy to build a stronger, more diversified manufacturing group. With continued investment in skilled labor and technology, Highland aims to lead the U.S. wire-harness market and deliver consistent value to customers nationwide.
