IWG acquires complementary supplier

International Wire Group has acquired Germany-based EMS Elektro Metall Schwanenmรผhle GmbH, adding customized busbar engineering and manufacturing capabilities that serve power generation, transmission, distribution, storage, data centers, EVs, and renewable applications while broadening IWGโ€™s presence and product portfolio in global electrical infrastructure markets.

International Wire Group (IWG) (https://www.internationalwiregroup.com) has acquiredย EMS Elektro Metall Schwanenmรผhle GmbH (EMS), a German specialist in engineering and manufacturing customized busbars for power generation, transmission, distribution, and storage.

EMS designs and manufactures tailored busbar solutions and related components for multiple applications, including electrical infrastructure, data centers, battery storage, electrolysis, industrial systems, electric vehicles, and renewable energy projects. Through the International Wire Group acquisition of EMS Elektro Metall Schwanenmรผhle GmbH, IWG gains immediate access to these highโ€‘growth segments and deeper technical capabilities.

He noted that EMS expands IWGโ€™s product portfolio in electrical infrastructure, energy storage, and power distribution markets.
