IWMA to hold 1st ever virtual event

IWMA Virtual Event Connects Expertise Globally

The International Wire and Machinery Association (IWMA) will host its first-ever IWMA virtual event on Thursday, April 22, from 10 am to 4 pm (BST). This one-day online forum supports IWMA’s mission to “Connect Expertise Globally” and gives wire and machinery professionals a focused space to learn, share, and build new relationships.

In recent months, IWMA has worked with a proven virtual event platform to bring members together in a simple and engaging way. The event is free for IWMA members and costs £25 per person for non-members, so both existing and potential members can easily take part.

IWMA Virtual Event Speakers and Sponsored Sessions

The IWMA virtual event will feature guest speakers from CRU GroupMesse Düsseldorf GmbH, and Ducab. These sessions will deliver market insight, technology updates, and event perspectives tailored to the wire and cable industry. Attendees can join live, ask questions, and then continue the conversation through the platform’s networking tools.

In addition, IWMA offers Sponsored Speaker Sessions for £400. In these sessions, companies can pre-record a talk or product presentation that appears on the virtual platform. This option allows businesses to highlight their latest news, solutions, or technologies directly in front of attendees while also benefiting from networking and the main program.

How the Virtual Platform Works

The virtual platform supports live networking and easy interaction throughout the day. Participants can move between sessions, connect with other delegates, and exchange contact details in just a few clicks. As a result, they can grow their network even if they attend from home or the office.

All event content will remain available on the platform after the live day finishes. Delegates can re-watch talks, sponsor presentations, and key sessions on demand. This flexibility helps attendees catch up on anything they missed and review important details at their own pace.

Deadlines, Booking, and Access Details

IWMA requires pre-recorded sponsor videos or presentations by Monday, April 19. Companies should send files as MP4 self-recorded videos or Zoom recordings, following the technical requirements provided. Because sponsored slots are limited, IWMA will allocate them on a first-come, first-served basis, so early booking matters.

To request the booking form and secure a sponsored speaking slot, email info@iwma.org. For full event information, membership details, and updates, visit the IWMA website at www.iwma.org.
