The new phase of construction adds 3,387 square meters of production space—an increase of about 50%. As a result, the plant will now produce over 50 million high-precision parts each year, including seat belts, lifelines, tape measures, and window springs.
This expansion also creates 300 new jobs, contributing to local industrial growth and enhancing Kern-Liebers’ production flexibility in Mexico.

Kern-Liebers Strengthens Its Position in North America

Timm Jenisch, Senior Vice President for North America, emphasized the value of expanding in the region. “North America remains the world’s largest commercial market,” he said. “Nuevo León offers ideal conditions—excellent logistics, skilled labor, and strong industry support—that make it the perfect location for our sustained growth.”

Since 2019, Kern-Liebers has manufactured products in Nuevo León to meet increasing customer demand. The Kern-Liebers Mexico plant expansion ensures faster delivery times and broader service capacity across the United States and Mexico.

Supporting Local Jobs and Global Growth

Dr. Erek Speckert, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board, joined local officials to inaugurate the expansion. He noted that the investment reinforces Kern-Liebers’ long-term commitment to Mexico and its people.
The company operates multiple facilities in the United States and Mexico, producing springs, wire forms, and complex precision assemblies for global clients.
