LAPP Finalizes Its Largest Acquisition

The LAPP Group JJโ€‘LAPP acquisition marks a major milestone for the company. LAPP Group has acquired the remaining 50% stake in JJโ€‘LAPP, ending its 20โ€‘year joint venture with Jebsen & Jessen Group. LAPP and Jebsen & Jessen first formed the joint venture in 2004 to deliver Germanโ€‘engineered cable and connectivity solutions to Southeast Asia. Over the past two decades, JJโ€‘LAPP has grown into a leading regional provider, now employing around 350 people across multiple countries.

Expanding Manufacturing and Market Presence

Headquartered in SingaporeJJโ€‘LAPP operates a manufacturing facility in Indonesia and additional sites across Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. The company serves key sectors such as industrial automation, building infrastructure, renewable energy, machine building, and harnessing solutions.

The Indonesian facility manufactures a wide range of LAPPโ€‘branded cables and connectivity products, including power, control, data, and solar cables. Additionally, it supplies preโ€‘assembled harnesses tailored for regional customer needs, strengthening LAPPโ€™s local production and responsiveness.

Advancing the Asiaโ€‘Pacific Growth Strategy

Matthias Lapp, CEO of LAPP Group, described Southeast Asia as a region full of opportunity due to its rapid industrializationyoung workforce, and surging demand for digital connectivity.
