Leoni Wins Volkswagen Contract for EV Robot Cable Systems
Leoni, a global leader in automotive cable and energy solutions, has secured a major contract with Volkswagen. Through this project, the Leoni LSH 3 robot cable Volkswagen solution will equip 1,300 production robots to support electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing.

Leoni has already installed its system in 100 robots at Volkswagen’s Zwickau production site. This facility plays a key role in the company’s electric mobility strategy.
The LSH 3 system supplies power for several processes, including welding, handling, laser bonding, clinching, and adhesive bonding. As a result, it enables efficient and flexible EV production.
In addition, Leoni installs floor cable harnesses that connect robot control units to stationary tools. This setup ensures consistent power and data transmission.

Scalable Production for Volkswagen’s MEB Platform
