Leoni Groupย in Germany has soldย Leoni Studer AG, part of its Wire & Cable Solutions (WCS) division, to an investor consortium led by former Board memberย Bruno Fankhauserย andย Helvetica Capital. The transaction includesย Leoni Schweiz AG, the holding company of Leoni Studer AG and a specialist in high-quality cables and wires for demanding industrial and infrastructure applications. After several months of negotiations, both parties signed a binding agreement, with closing expected by the end of the first quarter of 2021.
Leoni Group Sharpens Focus on Wiring Systems
Leoni Group continues to streamline its portfolio by divesting the units of itsย Wire & Cable Solutions (WCS)ย division and redirecting resources toward the wiring systems business. In the previous financial year, Leoni reorganized WCS into distinct units specifically intended for sale, and Leoni Schweiz AG now becomes the first of these units to transition to new ownership.
