​LS Cable & System USA Announces $50M Expansion in North Carolina 

LSCUS expansion will add two Continuous Catenary Vulcanization (CCV) production lines and increase total employment at the Tarboro facility to 335 jobs.

  LS Cable & System USA, Inc. (LSCUS) has announced plans to invest $50 million in the expansion of its manufacturing facility located in Tarboro, North Carolina. This significant investment underscores the company’s dedication to bringing advanced manufacturing back to the United States, fortifying the supply chain, and serving as a pivotal partner in the country’s energy infrastructure. LSCUS is the American subsidiary of LS Cable & System Ltd. (LS C&S).

The expansion will incorporate two additional Continuous Catenary Vulcanization (CCV) production lines, which will substantially boost the manufacturing capacity for medium-voltage power distribution cables. These new CCV lines will cater to the escalating demand from electric utilities, renewable energy projects, data centers, and industrial customers throughout North America. The investment will also augment the total employment at the facility, increasing from 250 to 335 jobs.

The announcement of the $50 million expansion investment in Tarboro, North Carolina, was made by LS Cable & System USA. Gisu Kim, Regional President of North America, LS Cable & System, Ltd., said, “North America is one of the most important growth regions for LS Cable & System.
