Madem Reels Expands Middle East Operations with New Saudi Arabia Plant

Madem Reels Group (official site) has launched the new Madem Reels Saudi Arabia plant in Jeddah, expanding its footprint in the Middle East. Operated by Madem Gulf Industries – Bahrain, this state-of-the-art manufacturing, assembly, and distribution facility strengthens the company’s commitment to serving regional customers more efficiently.

Strengthening Presence in the Middle East

This new Jeddah site marks Madem Reels’ second manufacturing facility in the region, following its first plant in Askar, Bahrain. Operations will roll out in two phases. Assembly and distribution are set to begin in the third or fourth quarter of 2023, while manufacturing will start during the first half of 2024.

Advanced Manufacturing Capacity

The company’s initial investment includes fully automated wooden drum CNC lines, reflecting Madem’s focus on innovation and efficiency. The plant expects to produce over 1,000 truckloads of KD reel kits each year and will create more than 100 new jobs in Saudi Arabia.

Aligned with Vision 2030

General Manager Alexandre Monte Mezzo said the expansion aligns with Madem’s values and long-term commitment to its customers. “The new plant in Saudi Arabia plays a vital role in our continuous evolution,” he explained. “It supports the Kingdom’s national development goals and increases our production and delivery capacity across the Gulf, Arab, and North African markets.”

Meanwhile, Adel Abdulla Mohammed Janahi, General Manager of Sales, emphasized the project’s alignment with Saudi Vision 2030. “Opening a second branch within the GCC shows our strong commitment to serving the growing demands of customers, especially in the rapidly expanding Saudi market,” he noted. “With cutting-edge automation, this facility will maximize capacity and improve productivity across the region.”

A Global Producer with Sustainable Roots

Headquartered in Brazil, Madem Reels Group manages renewable forests, sawmills, and advanced manufacturing facilities across Brazil, the USA, Bahrain, Colombia, Mexico, and Spain. The company employs more than 700 team members worldwide, supplying over 200 wire and cable plants in 45 countries. This expansion in Saudi Arabia further underscores Madem’s global leadership in wooden reel and drum solutions.
