Medicoil Breaks Ground on Lake Geneva Facility Expansion
Medicoil, a division of R&L Spring Company, announced the start of the Medicoil Lake Geneva Facility Expansion, a 40,000‑square‑foot addition to its manufacturing site in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. This project supports the company’s continued growth and leadership in the medical device manufacturing market.
Medicoil Lake Geneva Facility Expansion Boosts Capacity
The newly expanded space will be completed in early 2022, significantly increasing Medicoil’s production capacity. The addition will allow the company to meet rising demand for precision‑engineered springs and wireforms used in advanced medical equipment.
“For the fourth time since 1997, we are proud to expand our manufacturing business,” said company owner and President Scott Forsythe. “This investment reflects our long‑term vision to maintain quality, innovation, and growth within the medical industry.”
A Proven Leader in Precision Manufacturing
Founded in 1992, Medicoil operates as a specialized division of R&L Spring Company, which started in 1972. The company launched the Medicoil brand in 2000 to better focus on the medical device sector. Today, it provides precision coiled and formed wire products to leading OEMs in the medical, automotive, and powersports markets.
Medicoil’s manufacturing efficiency stems from an ISO 7 (Class 10,000) Clean Room, ensuring a tightly controlled production environment. This commitment to quality has made Medicoil a trusted supplier for implantable device components and subassemblies worldwide.
Continued Partnership and Innovation
The R&L Spring Company team continues supporting major industries with precision springs, rings, wireforms, and four‑slide components. Together, the two brands demonstrate how consistent innovation and investment fuel long‑term growth across industrial and medical markets.
