Messe Düsseldorf expands its relationship with China’s SECRI via 2021 trade show

WireShow 2021 Shanghai Partnership Overview

Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai and its longtime regional partner SECRI – Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute Co., Ltd. will expand their cooperation by jointly organizing the 12th WireShow – China International Wire & Cable Industry Exhibition. WireShow 2021 will serve as a key annual meeting point for the wire and cable community in China and abroad.

The partners will stage the show from August 31 to September 2 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. While Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai has not previously co-organized WireShow, it already runs wire China, which SECRI supports. With this new step, the two organizations will now offer major trade fairs for the global wire and cable industry in Shanghai every year.

Exhibition Dates, Venue, and Format

WireShow 2021 will combine on-site exhibits with digital opportunities, making the event more accessible and flexible. Exhibitors will showcase wire, cable, machinery, materials, and related technologies across multiple halls at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

To support companies that cannot travel to China, WireShow 2021 will also feature interactive online showrooms. These virtual options will help suppliers present products, engage buyers, and generate leads even if they participate remotely.

Track Record and Audience Reach

At the last WireShow in 2019, the event hosted 419 exhibitors from China and abroad. They presented their products and solutions on 25,000 sq m of exhibit space. Over 14,360 trade visitors from 41 countries attended, underscoring the show’s importance for both domestic and international participants.

With the added involvement of Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai and SECRI’s strong industry ties, WireShow 2021 aims to further expand its reach, enhance visitor quality, and deliver more value to exhibitors targeting the Chinese and Asian wire and cable markets.
