The IWCS 2022 scholarship winners highlight the industry’s next generation of innovators and leaders. The International Wire & Cable Symposium (IWCS) awarded six talented students with $2,500 scholarships for their academic achievements and close ties to the wire and cable sector.
IWCS 2022 Scholarship Recipients
Alyssa Hicks — Daughter of William Jason Hicks, technical support engineer at Gem Gravure Co., Inc.. Alyssa attends Jacksonville State University, majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences.
Owen LaRoss — Son of Michael LaRoss, corporate controller at Whitney Blake Co.. Owen studies at Merrimack College, where he is currently undeclared.
Timothy McComiskey — Son of Thomas McComiskey, vice president of engineering at MGS Group. Timothy attends the University of Rhode Island, majoring in Pharmacy.
Andrew Person — Son of Kim Person, purchasing department at Insulated Wire Inc.. Andrew studies Biology at SUNY College at Oneonta.
Ashley Potvin — Granddaughter of Kenneth Potvin, vice president of sales at Teknikor. Ashley attends Quinnipiac University, majoring in Public Relations.
Aidan Tomaz — Grandson of John Tomaz, vice president at Wardwell Braiding Machine Co.. Aidan plans to attend Louisville University, where he will major in Sports Management.
