New WAI training platform continues to evolve, will be ready for January launch

WAI Online Training Platform 2025 Expands Industry Education

As the wire and cable industry evolves, the Wire Association International (WAI) continues to advance its educational mission through the launch of the WAI online training platform 2025. Debuting in January 2025, the platform will expand access to technical training for professionals worldwide while supporting WAIโ€™s longโ€‘term commitment to education and innovation.

Visit WAIโ€™s official website for the latest updates on educational resources and industry events.

Comprehensive Learning Options for Industry Professionals

The new platform will feature WAIโ€‘produced courses as well as curated thirdโ€‘party content to support diverse training needs.

โ€œWeโ€™re incredibly excited about the breadth of content weโ€™ll have available,โ€ said John Markowski, WAIโ€™s education project manager.

At launch, the platform will include three original WAI courses:

  • Introduction to Ferrous Metallurgy
  • Single Layer Extrusion Overview
  • Extrusion Applications

To complement these offerings, users can also access 12 general manufacturing safety courses from an external providerโ€”creating a robust, crossโ€‘disciplinary training library.

Building on WAIโ€™s Legacy of Education

The development of the platform is moving quickly. Markowski noted that WAI aims to complete the online version of the Fundamentals of Wire Manufacturing Course during 2025.

โ€œThis course has long been a cornerstone of our training program,โ€ he said. โ€œBringing it online will allow us to reach even more professionals worldwide.โ€

WAI Online Training Platform 2025 Reinforces the Associationโ€™s Commitment to Learning

Steve Fetteroll, WAIโ€™s Executive Director, emphasized how the new platform strengthens the Associationโ€™s educational mission.

โ€œWe want to ensure that professionals throughout the industry have access to topโ€‘quality learning resources,โ€ Fetteroll said. โ€œThis platform directly addresses the growing demand for flexible and advanced training content.โ€

Launch Support and Engagement Opportunities

To promote the launch, WAIโ€™s marketing team is creating a series of promotional materials, including an upcoming video showcasing the systemโ€™s features. The Association will also host an openโ€‘house webinar on January 29, 2025, where participants can explore the platformโ€™s capabilities and ask questions.
