“Growing the Medical segment is one of the cornerstones in our strategy for profitable growth,” said Göran Björkman, President and CEO of Alleima. He also emphasized that this contract expands Alleima’s addressable market by opening several new patient-focused applications.
Ultra-Fine Wire Backs Remote Patient Monitoring
Gary Davies, head of the medical business unit in the Kanthal division, explained that customers will use the ultra-fine wire for remote patient monitoring. This segment is growing quickly as healthcare providers look for more continuous, real‑time data outside traditional clinical settings.
He noted that the order stems from the commercialization of a new product that offers leading-edge technology and high accuracy, both critical for reliable monitoring solutions and precise medical measurements.
