Taihan Cable Saudi Joint Venture Drives Global Growth
Taihan Cable & Solution, a leading cable manufacturer from South Korea, has launched the Taihan Cable Saudi joint venture with the Mohammed Al-Ojaimi Group. The agreement marks a major step in Taihan’s global strategy. Together, the companies will build a new ultra-high voltage cable plant in Saudi Arabia to strengthen the region’s energy network.
Taihan Cable Saudi Joint Venture Builds First Overseas HV Plant
Through this joint venture, Taihan will open its first overseas ultra-high voltage cable plant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The facility will rise inside a modern industrial complex owned by Mohammed Al-Ojaimi Group. It will sit next to Saudi Taihan Cable Co., which already produces electrical equipment.
This new venture combines Taihan’s advanced cable technology with Al-Ojaimi’s strong background in power distribution. As a result, both partners expect to accelerate energy infrastructure development across the Middle East.
Expanding Reach Across GCC and Europe
The Taihan Cable Saudi joint venture will serve as a hub for expansion into the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets such as Qatar and Kuwait. Over time, Taihan also plans to extend operations into Europe. This move highlights the company’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and sustainable global growth.
In addition, the new facility will improve product supply across the region, helping Taihan respond faster to market demand.
Global Manufacturing Network and New Projects
Taihan currently runs five key production bases worldwide:
-
A cable and power equipment factory in Dangjin, South Chungcheong Province, Korea
-
A high-voltage cable plant in Vietnam
-
A medium-voltage cable plant in South Africa
-
An electric equipment plant in Saudi Arabia
Furthermore, Taihan is now building a submarine cable factory in Dangjin and an optical cable plant in Kuwait. These projects will enhance global production capacity and support new infrastructure growth.
