WAI Operations Summit & Wire Expo Keynotes
On March 9, 2022, The Wire Association International (WAI), Inc. (wirenet.org) announced two keynote speakers for its Operations Summit & Wire Expo. The event takes place June 7–8, 2022, at the Hyatt Regency Dallas in Dallas, Texas, USA. The program highlights raw material procurement, supply chain challenges, and leadership in a rapidly changing business environment.
On Tuesday, June 7, the keynote session “The new normal in raw material procurement for the wire and cable industry” will focus on supply dynamics and risk. Brian Schulties, Chief Procurement Officer for Prysmian Group North America (prysmiangroup.com), will share practical insights on tight raw material supplies. He will also outline opportunities for manufacturers and suppliers to secure materials, manage volatility, and support long‑term growth.
On Wednesday, June 8, the keynote “Leadership in a volatile world” will examine how leaders guide teams through disruption. Ty Garrison, Senior Vice President of Operations at Commercial Metals Company (cmc.com), will discuss the impact of virtual work, burnout, supply chain disruptions, and volatile markets. He will explain how leaders can treat pressure as a privilege rather than a burden so that teams stay engaged and companies continue to thrive.
