U.S. Commercial Service Launches Trade Fair Booth Staffing for Wire Düsseldorf

The U.S. Commercial Service in Düsseldorf has launched a booth staffing program for upcoming trade fairs including wire Düsseldorf and Tube Düsseldorf. This service helps U.S. exhibitors affected by COVID-19 travel restrictions maintain their international presence.

Trade Fair Booth Staffing Solution

Corporate travel policies, government restrictions, and quarantine requirements have made trade fair participation increasingly complex. However, U.S. exhibitors who cannot staff their booth can still keep their brand positioned internationally. Consequently, the U.S. Commercial Service will find, train, and monitor professional representatives at trade fairs in Düsseldorf.

The office maintains a long history of hiring articulate, motivated professionals to assist companies. Specifically, these representatives explain product details and collect business contact information from current and future business partners at trade fairs.

Comprehensive Booth Staffing Services

The U.S. Commercial Service staff provides complete support throughout the process. First, they find a qualified, professional representative (REP) to staff exhibit booths. Next, they meet individually (virtually or in-person) with the REP to ensure quality standards.

Additionally, staff members train representatives on proper business contact etiquette. Moreover, they discuss the exhibiting firm’s products and review the trade fair schedule and administrative matters. During the event, staff visit the REP at least once and check-in at the beginning and end of each trade fair day.

Finally, on the last day of the show, staff collect business cards from the REP. Furthermore, they discuss key interactions, flag contacts for follow-up, scan business cards, and send them to the home office.

Trade Fair Booth Staffing Program Costs

The service includes two cost components. First, direct payment to the REP costs approximately 200 euros per day plus local transportation costs. Second, a commercial service fee applies based on company size:

  • U.S. small company: $600

  • U.S. medium company: $1,400

  • U.S. large company: $1,800

Additional Trade Fair Coverage

The booth staffing program also serves other events at the Messe Düsseldorf fairgrounds. These include Caravan Salon, MEDICA, COMPAMED, and Valve World Expo.
