Interwire 2021 Rescheduled to October in Atlanta

Theย Wire Association International (WAI)ย has rescheduled its flagshipย Interwire trade showย and annual meeting toย October 26โ€“27, 2021. The event will take place at theย Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC)ย in Atlanta, Georgia.

Event Postponement and New Dates

Originally planned for May 11โ€“13, 2021, WAI moved the event after evaluatingย COVID-19 conditions, vaccine availability, and ongoingย travel restrictions.

On December 10, 2020, the WAI Board of Directors voted unanimously to approve the new dates. As a result, the organization aims to deliver aย safer and more accessible eventย for attendees and exhibitors.

Updated Event Format

WAI will also adjust the event format. Instead of running for two and a half days,ย Interwire 2021ย will now take place overย two full days. However, organizers plan to extendย exhibition hoursย to maximize engagement.

Industry Support and Outlook

Thomas Heberling, WAI First Vice President, emphasized the importance of Interwire to the industry. He noted that companies such asย Southwireย continue to support the event. He also encouraged manufacturers and suppliers to stay engaged as conditions improve.

Meanwhile,ย Steven Fetteroll, WAI Executive Director, confirmed that WAI continues to coordinate with theย GWCCย and local hotels to ensure a smooth transition.
