wire China rescheduled again due to Covid, event to be held in 2023 at original venue

Wire China 2022 Postponed to 2023 at Original Venue

Covid-related restrictions in China continue to disrupt large exhibitions and make long‑term planning difficult. As a result, wire China 2022 postponed to 2023 and will now take place at its original venue, the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) in Shanghai.

The organizers—Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute Co.—reviewed the situation and decided not to stage the show in 2022. They now focus on delivering a stronger event once travel rules and health requirements stabilize.

Event Moves Back from Nanjing to Shanghai

Organizers originally scheduled wire China 2022 for September 26–29, 2022, at the SNIEC. They later postponed the dates and shifted the venue to the Nanjing International Expo Center in response to changing Covid measures.

However, continuing restrictions still affect large events, so the next edition will return to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in 2023. Exhibitors and visitors can plan again around Shanghai while organizers take extra time to prepare a safe and well‑attended show.
