On‑Time Deliveries for Critical Transmission Lines
Earlier this year, ZTT Australia delivered the first batch of conductors and OPGW for the Rye Park Wind Farm 330 kV transmission line and 33 kV overhead power line. The team completed delivery safely and on schedule, which helps keep the overall project timeline on track.
Under the current contract, ZTT Australia will supply 368 km of conductors, 39 km of OPGW, and a full range of accessories needed for commissioning. As a result, the company again shows that it can provide a complete overhead transmission line solution, not just single components like poles or towers.
Rye Park Wind Farm’s Contribution to Clean Power
The Rye Park Wind Farm is a 396 MW onshore wind project with 66 turbines and associated infrastructure. It sits north of Yass and east of Boorowa in New South Wales, near the town of Rye Park on the edge of the Southern Tablelands and South‑West Slopes.
Developers expect to commission the wind farm in the first quarter of 2024. Once fully operational, the site should generate up to 1,188 GWh of electricity per year, which will support Australia’s shift toward cleaner and more sustainable energy.
ZTT’s Path from Fiber Optics to Renewables
ZTT entered the optical fiber communications sector in 1992. Then, in 2002, the company began supporting the smart grid, providing products that enhance grid intelligence and reliability. Later, in 2011, ZTT moved into renewable energy products, aligning its portfolio with global energy transition trends.
In 2020, ZTT spun off Zhongtian Technology Submarine Cable Company as a separate public company. Today, ZTT ranks among the Top 500 Chinese Enterprises, serves as the largest advanced manufacturing enterprise in Nantong, and stands as the biggest private‑enterprise taxpayer in Rudong. The company also holds recognition as a National Key High‑tech Enterprise and has earned both the China Quality Award and the China Grand Awards for Industry.
