Industry Remembers Gerald H. Davis, Former Vandor President
Gerald H. Davis, former president of Vandor Corporation, passed away on December 20 at the age of 73. A U.S. Army veteran and Indiana native, Davis built a distinguished career spanning more than four decades in manufacturing and product innovation.
He was named on dozens of patents, including one for a webbed flange design for reels. Davis retired as president of Vandor in 2021. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Annette; daughters Adrienne Cowen and Erin Myers; sons Justin and Bryan; along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Belden Appoints Jeff Winter to Lead Commercial Strategy
Belden Inc. has appointed Jeff Winter as vice president of commercial strategy, a newly created role focused on strengthening the company’s technical capabilities and advancing its commercial direction across key markets.
Winter brings nearly 20 years of experience in industrial automation, digital transformation and Industry 4.0. He has previously held senior roles at Microsoft, Hitachi Solutions, Omron Automation and Critical Manufacturing. Widely recognized in the manufacturing sector, he has been ranked a leading global thought leader for Industry 4.0 and manufacturing influence.
Based in St. Louis, Missouri, Belden manufactures networking, connectivity and cable solutions for industrial and enterprise markets.
Vandor Promotes Adrienne Cowen; Names Product Development Engineer
Vandor Corporation has promoted Adrienne Cowen to general manager of Vandor Plastics & Reel Options. Cowen joined the company in 1998 and previously served as vice president of sales. In her new role, she will oversee plant operations and support the strategic direction of Vandor’s plastics division.
The company also appointed Scott Rust as product development engineer. Rust brings more than 30 years of experience in product design, CAD development, project management and injection mold design.

Condat Promotes Roberto Castillo in North America
Roberto Castillo has been promoted to area sales manager for wire drawing products at Condat Corporation. He will oversee sales throughout North America.
Castillo has more than 20 years of commercial and technical sales experience in wire, cable and metalworking sectors. He joined Condat in 2013 and previously held positions including sales engineer and regional sales manager for Mexico and the southern U.S.
Condat manufactures specialty lubricants and chemical solutions for wire drawing operations.
Marmon Industrial Energy & Infrastructure Names Inside Sales Supervisor
Marmon Industrial Energy & Infrastructure has appointed Paula Butkevich as inside sales supervisor for the Northern Territory. She will support customers across industrial energy and infrastructure markets.
Butkevich brings extensive leadership experience, previously serving in senior sales and account management roles within the wire and cable sector.
The company manufactures wire, cable and connectivity products for industrial and infrastructure applications.
Southwire Announces Executive Leadership Changes
Southwire Company has promoted Christy Wright to executive vice president of supply chain. Wright joined the company in 2007 and most recently served as senior vice president of metals & supply chain.
She will also serve as interim chief financial officer, succeeding Guyton Cochran, who is retiring after nearly 30 years with the company.
Additionally, Chief Compliance Officer Burt Fealing will serve as interim chief people & culture officer as the company recruits for permanent leadership roles.
Southwire is a leading manufacturer of wire and cable products used in the transmission and distribution of electricity.
Daikin America Names Vice President of Engineering
Daikin America, Inc. has named Lensey Smith as vice president of engineering. She joined the company in 2013 and most recently served as technical center director.
Smith holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from The University of Alabama and has held engineering and chemistry roles across advanced materials markets serving wire and cable manufacturers.
Daikin America supplies fluoropolymers and specialty chemicals to the wire and cable market.
Metalube Appoints Head of Global Sales
Metalube Ltd. has appointed Rachel Bywater as head of sales, where she will lead the company’s global sales team.
Metalube specializes in wire and tube drawing lubricants and protective greases for overhead conductors.
Pantheon Electric Announces Leadership Transition
Pantheon Electric, the newly formed global electrical infrastructure platform created from International Wire Group (IWG), Hussey Copper, EMS Elektro Metall Schwanenmühle and Special Corde, announced several executive appointments.
Gregory J. Smith now serves as CEO of Pantheon Electric. William “Bill” Merrill has been named president of IWG, overseeing day-to-day wire and cable operations within the platform. Yulia Leskovets has been appointed global director of business development & market strategy.
Pantheon Electric manufactures copper-based wire, cable, busbar and high-current solutions.
