Eyeglass frames are generally made of titanium alloy. However, conforming to a designerโs shape is difficult because titanium alloy has a large springback. Actually, producing rimsโthe part of the frame to which the lens is affixedโdepends on the experience and skill of workers. This paper investigates the improved methods of high-precision roll-bending for rim production by experiment and FEM analysis.
