For continuous fine wire diameter measurement in industrial application, we have developed and produced in quantities a sensor based on the well-known laser diffraction method. The extrusion of this method,. and technology to die diameter measurement is in development. For greater diameters we have developed a sensor, with the same packaging and the same technology but using pulsed laser projection method, associated with linear sensors.
