The lecture presents a review of the authorโs professional journey from intern to proud recipient of the Mordica Memorial Award. This journey progressed from simple resistivity measurements on steel telephone wire, through quality and process improvements for coat hangers, to rod for cable stay bridges. This presentation shows how a young engineerโs excitement and determination can lead to a most satisfying career that includes contributions back to the wire industry and to the Wire Association International.
