Several synthetic insulating and protecting materials for wire and cable are discussed. Geon Latex 31X and Geon Polyblend are considered. The new polymer Hycar Pa is described; its resistance to tear, ozone, flexing, UV light, gas diffusion, solvents, and heat, as well as its electrical properties, are considered.
