4-/1/2022 –ย Responding to world events, the WAI Poland Chapterย has changed the focus of its panel discussion for itsย 9th International Drawing Conference, to be held Mayย 18-20 at the Hotel GALAXY in Cracow, Poland.
The panel discussion has evolved from a pure technicalย theme to one that addresses the European reality inย dealing with Covid-19 and the war in the Ukraine. Theย panel discussion theme will be, โThe economy of the
metal and drawing industry during the post-Covid crisisย and the turbulent global geopolitical situation.โ
The panel discussion, to be moderated by Piotrย Milewski and Jakub Siemiลski, directors and managersย at DRUMET and TELE-FONIKA, will see panelistsย try to answer increasingly difficult questions in theย metal sector that relate to the current situation of theย world economy and where it is headed. Five participantsย selected from large and medium-sized companiesย in the metal sector, who together with the conferenceย participants, will talk about the outlook for the metalย and drawing industry after the current crises. Attendeesย will hear about important technological and economicย issues for the metal and drawing sector that relate to the development of principles and methods for wire and
cable companies to better function during the difficultย conditions caused by the pandemic and war.
โIt is sad that such topics should be the focus of a technicalย conference, but they are realities for the industry,ย and not just in Europe,โ said WAI Chapter Presidentย Jan Pilarczyk. He noted that this will be the second timeย that there has been a discussion panel, the first held inย 2019, where all participants shared their observationsย on the new directions needed to maintain the continuousย development of the metal and drawing industry both inย Europe and in the world. The panel discussion will beย the final educational event at the conference.ย ย
Pilarczyk said that he was pleased with the supportย the event has had so far from industry.
