New England chapter logs another very successful golf tournament

The WAI New England Chapter golf tournament 2025 brought together 142 golfers on September 9 at Tunxis Country Club in Farmington, Connecticut. This total exceeded last year’s turnout. As a result, the event showed continued growth across the wire and cable industry. In addition, 15 attendees joined the awards dinner. The event also raised over $2,000 for the chapter’s scholarship program.

Teams competed throughout the day under ideal weather conditions. Scores remained competitive from start to finish. In the end, the team from https://www.gemgravure.com (Gem Gravure Co. Inc.) won with a score of 10 under par.

The winning group included Paul Gemelli, Derek Olson, and teammates from https://www.schleuniger.com (Schleuniger USA)—Micah Durham and Greg Douglas. Their consistent play and strong coordination secured the victory.

Networking and Industry Engagement

The tournament created strong opportunities for networking and relationship building. Throughout the day, players connected with long-time colleagues and met new industry professionals.

Attendees praised the course conditions and smooth pace of play. In addition, many noted the event’s strong organization. Because of this, the tournament continues to serve as a key gathering for the wire and cable community.
