Delta Tecnic to Acquire Impact Formulators Group, Expanding Masterbatch Portfolio for Cable and Polymer Markets

Delta Tecnic, part of Global Polymer Solutions, has agreed to acquire Impact Formulators Group, strengthening its additive and color masterbatch capabilities for cable and polymer markets. The deal supports Investindustrialโ€™s strategy to build a larger specialty chemicals platform across Europe and Mexico.

Expanding the Global Polymer Solutions Network

Delta Tecnic, a division of Global Polymer Solutions S.L. (GPS), has reached an agreement to acquire Impact Formulators Group (IFG). The deal reinforces Delta Tecnicโ€™s position in the global market for additive and color masterbatches used in cable and polymer applications. Learn more at https://www.deltatecnic.com.

This acquisition supports GPSโ€™s ongoing strategy to build a unified specialty chemicals and thermoplastics group. Meanwhile, the addition of IFG strengthens Delta Tecnicโ€™s technical capabilities and expands its customer offering across key industrial sectors.

IFG Brings Deep Additive Expertise

IFG specializes in functional additive masterbatches that improve polymer performance. Its products include UV stabilizers, slip agents, antiโ€‘blocking, antiโ€‘fog, antiโ€‘static, and flameโ€‘retardant solutions. Additionally, the company produces a portfolio of color masterbatches that serve a wide range of applications, including the wire and cable market.

Formed through the merger of Ultrabatch Srl, Masterbatch Srl, and Eurocolor, IFG combines decades of European expertise in both additive and color technologies. As a result, it provides advanced solutions that enhance polymer functionality and durability.

Building Scale Under Global Polymer Solutions

Global Polymer Solutions (GPS), backed by Investindustrial, continues to expand its specialty materials platform. The Delta Tecnic IFG acquisition aligns with that vision by uniting IFGโ€™s additive capabilities with Delta Tecnicโ€™s strengths in custom color and additive masterbatches for cable and PVC applications.

Moreover, the merger creates a company with over โ‚ฌ100 million in annual revenue and six manufacturing plants across Spain, Italy, and Mexico. This enhanced scale will improve responsiveness, expand R&D capabilities, and support customers across infrastructure, industrial, and specialty polymer markets.

Driving Innovation and Market Growth

The acquisition also accelerates innovation within the group. Together, Delta Tecnic and IFG will deliver more advanced polymer performance solutions tailored to global energy, cable, and industrial manufacturing needs. Consequently, both companies can leverage shared resources to improve sustainability, efficiency, and value creation.

Furthermore, by joining forces under GPS, the combined teams can integrate best practices, streamline production, and accelerate time to market for new polymer technologies.
