KEC Expands Vadodara Plant Under Backward Integration Strategy

KEC International Ltd.ย has inaugurated a newย railway conductor manufacturing unitย at its existing plant inย Vadodara, Gujarat. The expansion strengthens KECโ€™s backward integration strategy and reinforces its position as a leading global infrastructure engineering company.

The inauguration ceremony was led byย Vimal Kejriwal, CEO and Managing Director of KEC International, alongsideย Singh Sethi, Executive Director โ€“ Cables. The leaders met with the plantโ€™s 550 employees to acknowledge their continued dedication and contributions to the companyโ€™s growth.

During the ceremony, Kejriwal praised the team for supporting the companyโ€™s longโ€‘term objectives through consistent performance and efficiency. He also emphasized that KECโ€™sย Vadodara plantย plays an essential role in advancing production for Indiaโ€™s expanding railway infrastructure sector.

The business continues to record steady growth, withย new orders worth approximately $285 millionย logged for 2022โ€“2023. These new contracts show strong market demand for KECโ€™s range of conductors and highโ€‘quality railway cables.
