LS Cable Tarboro Plant Expansion Strengthens U.S. Manufacturing

LS Cable & System USA, part of South Koreaโ€™sย LS Cable & System, will investย $26.9 millionย to expand itsย Tarboro, North Carolinaย facility. Theย LS Cable Tarboro plant expansionย will grow its production capacity, createย 86 new jobs, and enhance U.S. energy cable supply.

The three-year project shows LS Cableโ€™s ongoing commitment toย American manufacturingย andย local workforce developmentย inย Edgecombe County.

Investing in Local Growth and Jobs

Plant Managerย Bobby Pinerย said the expansion will help the company meet rising customer needs and support job creation. โ€œThis investment allows us to grow with our customers and our team members here in Tarboro,โ€ Piner noted.

Currently, the plant employsย 188 people. Once the project is complete, employment will rise to nearlyย 275 workers, reflecting steady business growth and community investment.

Expanding Cable Production for Energy Markets

Through theย LS Cable Tarboro plant expansion, the company will increase output ofย low- and medium-voltage cable productsย used acrossย commercial,ย industrial,ย renewable, andย utility sectors. These cables power essential electric systems and help build a reliable energy infrastructure nationwide.

In addition, the expansion supports the development ofย clean energy technologiesย and improves supply efficiency for the growing U.S. power market.
