400 kV Cable System and Engineering Scope
LS Cable will supply 400 kV extra-high voltage (EHV) cables for a new national grid. In addition, the company will lead both electrical engineering and civil engineering work.
This project supports Bahrain’s broader efforts to accelerate industrialization and urban development. As a result, the upgraded grid will improve reliability and meet rising electricity demand.
Strong Market Position in the Middle East
LS Cable holds a leading position in the Middle East EHV cable market, especially in Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait. The region represents about 20% of global demand for extra-high voltage cables.
Although low oil prices slowed infrastructure investment in recent years, demand continues to recover. Therefore, projects like this one play a key role in driving regional growth.
Future Growth Opportunities in Bahrain
