The Wire Association International (WAI) continues planning for the Global Continuous Casting Forum 2025, which will take place alongside Interwire 2025 from May 12–15, 2025. The planning committee met on April 6 to refine event strategy, content, and overall execution.

Expanded Content and Event Enhancements
The committee reviewed several ways to enhance the Global Continuous Casting Forum 2025. Members focused on improving educational sessions, networking opportunities, and event structure.
Organizers plan to maintain dedicated tracks for both aluminum and copper topics. In addition, the committee is evaluating options to expand the program length and include a plant tour, which would add practical, real-world insights for attendees.
Call for Papers and Submission Timeline
WAI will continue to promote a call for papers to attract high-quality presentations. The submission timeline includes:
- Abstract deadline: October 3, 2024
- Acceptance notifications: November 7, 2024
- Final paper submission: February 13, 2025
WAI introduced the call for papers at wire 2024 Düsseldorf and will continue promotion through Wire Expo and Wire Journal International.
