Dr. Horace Pops, a leading expert in wire breaks and fines, set a new WAI webinar registration record with his session on annealing held January 27. The event reached its 500-person capacity by January 22. As a result, WAI closed registration early, and additional requests continued to come in. Learn more about WAI at https://www.wirenet.org.
High Demand for WAI Technical Webinars
Following this success, Dr. Pops scheduled two more webinars: Fines on February 3 and Wire Breaks on February 10. However, WAI offered registration as a full three-part series, so all sessions quickly filled.
In response, WAI Executive Director Steve Fetteroll emphasized the strong interest. He noted that Dr. Pops explains complex wire manufacturing challenges in a clear and practical way. Additionally, WAI will make all three webinars available online for members after the live sessions.
Industry Expertise and Leadership
Over the years, Dr. Pops has built a strong reputation through his technical papers, many of which have earned industry awards. He also presents regularly at WAI events. In addition, he contributes to the Fundamentals of Wire & Cable Manufacturing course.
As a WAI Past President (1992–93) and principal of Horace Pops Consulting, Inc. (http://www.horacepops.com), he continues to shape best practices across the wire and cable industry.
