Fisher to lead The Wire Association International in 2026

The Wire Association International has named David M. Fisher, president and CEO of James Monroe Wire and Cable Corp., as its 73rd president for 2026. A WAI member since 2008, Fisher brings 37 years of industry experience and leadership to the association’s global network.

The Wire Association International (WAI) (https://wirenet.org) has appointed David Fisher WAI President 2026 for a one-year term beginning January 1, 2026. In this role, Fisher leads the Board of Directors and drives strategic initiatives that support the global wire and cable manufacturing industry.

Headquartered in Madison, Connecticut, WAI continues to expand its impact through education, events, and industry collaboration.

David Fisher WAI President 2026 Leadership Background

Fisher serves as president and CEO of James Monroe Wire and Cable Corporation (https://www.jmwc.com) in Lancaster, Massachusetts. He brings more than 37 years of wire and cable industry experience to his leadership role.

Since joining the company in 1989, Fisher has worked across plant operations, process engineering, sales, purchasing, and administration. He became president and CEO in 2005 and continues to build on the company’s long-standing legacy.

Active Leadership Within WAI

Fisher has contributed to WAI since 2008. He joined the Board of Directors in 2018 and the Executive Committee in 2023. Over time, he has supported key initiatives, including:

  • Co-chair of the 2025 Conference Programming Committee
  • Executive Committee liaison to the Oversight Committee
  • Former chair of the Finance Committee

He also serves his third term on the New England Chapter Board of Directors, where he previously held the role of president.
