The Interwire 2023 Western Chapter meeting in Atlanta, held May 8–11, 2023, marked a major step forward for regional leadership and industry collaboration. During the event, volunteers demonstrated a strong commitment to growth, networking, and developing future leaders in the wire industry.
Western Chapter Rebuilds Leadership
After an eight-year hiatus, the Western Chapter reemerged with renewed energy and direction. Dedicated volunteers from regions including California and Texas formed a new board to lead the chapter forward.
From the outset, the board focused on revitalizing engagement, strengthening connections, and promoting the value of participating in the wire and cable industry.
Building Membership and Industry Connections
During the in-person meeting at Interwire 2023, board members outlined a clear roadmap to guide future efforts. First, they plan to build a strong membership base by reaching out to professionals and organizations across the Western region.
In addition, the board emphasized the importance of networking opportunities. They aim to create a platform where industry professionals can exchange knowledge, form partnerships, and drive collaboration.
Future Plans and Opportunities
Although the chapter remains in its early stages, leadership continues to define roles and expand its initiatives. As progress continues, the board plans to introduce new events and engagement opportunities.
One idea under consideration includes hosting a golf tournament in 2024, which would further support networking and member involvement.
